About Us
I think it is only fair if we let you know a little more about us. After all, you wouldn't want to hand over money to a complete stranger.
Who are you?
We, the two founders of ArmAHost, are Jason Olsen and Rufus Honour. We are both experienced gamers who have been involved with all of the Bohemia Interactive games currently developed. Being gamers our selves we understand the trouble it can be to find a good game server provider as a gaming clan or organization. We decided to put our further skills and knowledge of game server hosting to be there for other ArmA and ARMA2 gamers.
ArmAHost has been existent since the start of 2010, after many months of planning the year before. We hope to have many satisfied gamers hosted with us throughout the year.

In the Past
In the year before ArmA was released Jason joined the team of an existing game server and Teamspeak provider, of which hosted OFP servers. The company featured a game server control panel (similar to what we have available) and large support for Operation Flashpoint players. The problem that hit the company was that ArmA was very greedy when it come to resources, and the dedicated machines prepared to host the servers were not powerful enough as we expected. Due to the cost of these dedicated servers, the company had no choice but to provide ArmA servers with a high price per slots. This was not very popular, causing the company to loose out financially. After another six months the company failed to find a future market in game servers for ArmA and OFP and ceased its game server services.
Rufus has also managed a network of game servers in the past before, involving himself with both Linux and Windows machines. He has also taken an active part in getting gaming communities together and managing game servers for them.

What about now?
Today ArmA and ARMA2 are both optimised to use less resources that were just wasted, causing unstable servers. The cost of the hardware that is required to run the game servers is a lot cheaper too. After intensive research at the last half of 2009 we looked into what kind of market would be available for ArmA and ARMA2 game servers; assuming we kept a fair price and fast, high quality game servers. We feel that it would be achieveable to offer our services in game server hosting for the ArmA and ARMA2 community.
Do you sell other servers?
At the present time ArmAhost would like to concentrate on ArmA and ARMA2 servers. We may offer Teamspeak eventually, although at the moment we will just stick with the two games.
Where are your servers located?
Our dedicated servers are currently based within the United Kingdom, at the Centro Datacentre in Hemel Hempstead. The dedicated servers are provided by Killer Creation who have an extremely positive track record. They are a registered ISP and have direct fibre connections to the UK's main internet network. The image is the result of a recent speed test completed by one of our dedicated servers.
Since we are lucky enough to have such a fast and high quality connection, we're happy to say that in-game latency is extremely low; even on large, bandwidth intensive games.
